Damage from towing?

I am thinking about getting a hide-away hitch installed so I can tow a motorcycle.

http://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2007_Infiniti_G35.htm

Now Our manual says our cars can tow 1000lbs. I'm only going to be pulling a 250lb trailer+400lb bike, so I will be well within the limits. Does anyone think that towing this would put stress on the unibody, transmission, suspension, etc?

^ The fact that what he's trying to tow is within the factory MAX tow limit means he'll be ok.

Wouldn't it still put some stress on the tranny though?

No, that is a very low amount of weight on rolling wheels. Your car will be fine.

^ Well its the equivalent as far as "rolling weight" goes to having three average NFL player passengers. But not because the car is dragging its weight from behind, changes all moving dynamics and yes it would put wear on a sports sedan. How much and where depends on how the car is driven and where/how much it is driven. Tongue weight obviously key too.

IMHO driving the car conservatively only every once in a while with such a trailer probably will be no problem for it. If you plan on towing regularly though I'd do it with another more suitable vehicle just my $.02

I don't see it as causing any more wear and tear than you could cause by driving aggressively, with rear seat passengers, while going uphill.

Just take it easy and it should be fine.

Could I get a picture of what your hitch looks like without the trailer?

I just wanted some more educated opinions. I will be doing mostly highway driving in flat Florida. Probably a couple times a month. I know A truck is better suited, but sometimes you acquire an unexpected hobby.

P.S. where did you get that trailer?

EDIT: I also just noticed it seems The bike is strapped to the car. How does work/look?

I thought so too, but if you look on the left, you can see that there's a (red/brown) bar extending from the sides of the trailer that it's tied to, NOT the car.
