ipod cable stuck

i used my ipod cable for the first time yesterday and i can't disconnect it. i push on that gray button and no luck. any ideas? otherwise i'll drop by the dealership tomorrow.

I have to pull on the cable pretty hard. It almost feels like it's going to break.

08. The service guy depressed the grey button with a pen and yanked it off. He gave me a new one but it is hard to remove as well!
