Window Chrome Removal

Window Chrome Removal

Ive been trying to find it else where but have not been able to. Can someone please tell me how to remove the black chrome around the windows please? I have a black G35s thank you!

^i was under the impression that people remove the trim in order to paint it...but to answer the question, unfortunately I have never seen a diy on it... I remember seeing a thread about it and they said be careful not to bend it because its really obvious and expensive to buy new from Nissan. Can't remember the name of the thread but just search like "blacked out trim" cause a few people removed it to paint

No. Im sorry. My vehicle is black, the window trim is chrome. I have seen a lot of G35 sedans with the window trim black and I really like that so I was wondering if anyone has seen a DIY that I have not found. I was told plasti dip, but I have also seen some people use plasti dip and get a sort of orange peel to it. I also really dislike the chrome truck lip. Thank you everyone for responding!

Oh right lol ya I plastidipped mine and just taped around it a bit on the car and I didn't get the orange peel look...you just shouldn't put more than 5 coats imo they and spray it from the right distance away

vinyl sheets are probably the best thing to do ! i have mine plastidipped for now looks good but doesnt match the glossy pillars between the front and back door

i tried that vinyl its a little tricky to do.but it does look shinier with vinyl but i got flat black painted grill and flat black painted headlights.so it matches kind off lol.
