Yes, 255/45 will fit just fine on the rear. A 265 isn't as good of a fit as you'll need to drop the profile down at least to a 40 and even at that, it's a bit too wide for the rim. You'll lose a bit of performance on such a narrow rim as well as some smoothness from the drop in profile. Another consideration is: What you will be doing with the front tires size wise so that they match the diameters of the new rear sizes? If you leave the stock size (225/50) you may experience ultra sensitive VDC and/or SLIP complaints from your car's traction control system. A good partner for the 255/45 rears would be 235/50 fronts. They are only 1.5% taller than the stock size, but as a pair, they are nearly identical in ratio between front/rear as the stock set. This is a very good thing if you hate traction control overreacting whenever you take a freeway on ramp or make a tight turn. Here a tire calculator link for researching this a bit:
