Black Plastidip touching feel

Question for those who have done plastidip on their parts. Is the touch feeling similar to the stock rubberized interior parts? How does the look compare to the OEM black interior parts?

Thanks.

Plastidip by itself feels rubbery. However if you spray another paint over it, it feels smooth. Just make sure the surface is VERY CLEAN, and dry before applying the plastidip.

It reminds me a lot of the door handle/trim before it was replaced under warranty to the newer material.

I'd say it feels like sandpaper, in rubber form. I usually pretty good with analogies, I'm sure someone will agree with me.

^ i think spray PD, just like any rattle can paint, is highly dependent on how it's applied. Mine was rather smooth.

Yeah its 100% the way you spray it. Too many coats or too close spray will make it smooth like sandpaper

Mine came out smooth as well, on the X...following your DIY with grille left on.
I am going to use paint on the new one though. I want it to match the car paint.

So in the best result, does it feel some where close to OEM pieces?
