The finance guy at my local nissan dealer wanted to know where I found it cheaper for the factory warranty than he was selling me. He said it's cheaper than his cost, and he wanted to get it for his car lol (Was a similar place like Scottsdale Infiniti selling nissan warranties via internet). I think certain dealers who do high volume get better pricing or just can plain sell for less, donno.

yeah..i mean its great if the local dealer can price match...but sometimes they just won't...all depends on the dealer and who you talk to.

Looking at this list, one would think they reviewed their existing TSB's and developed this list from it.

I, too, am also wondering if I should get the limit warranty due to the cost. The financing guy will meet me to discuss the details before I pick up my 2008 Infiniti G35xS with 38k mileages next Friday One of the infiniti dealership (the first vehicle I saw but didn't get) told me that in order to get 1.99% or 2.99% rate, I need to get the warranty, otherwise, the rate runs from 3% and up. the price of warranty is $2500 which i think is ridiculous. I know every dealership sells the warranty at different prices, but could anyone of you tell me what the median price range of the warranty, so I will be able to negotiate with that guy next friday.

This is info I received from one of Infiniti dealerships AZ Scottsdale! (she, Courtney, replied me within 5 mins,.. gee~)
Meanwhile, I am still waiting for response from another Infiniti dealership near my area

If you think that's too self-serving, try looking at the exclusions in a BMW extended warranty. They don't cover all kinds of the electronics and suspension parts that are known to fail. Infiniti's Elite warranty is a good product. It actually covers more than the factory warranty.

I have to say that basing your interest rate on whether or not you buy an extended warranty sounds like a complete line of BS. My guess is that they are looking to ensure profit from wherever they can get it. Also, what were the terms of the warranty they offered for 2500? Without terms it's fairly meaningless. If it's "required" for your interest rate, they should be able to back it up with something in writing from Infiniti saying so, AND saying what the minimum terms you need for the extended warranty are. I'd be amazed if they could produce anything!

Courtney's prices are the very best I found when I priced 5 or 6 discount dealers recently. Next best should be Daniella at Circle Infiniti. I believe Courtney will drop another $20 of those prices if you pay in full (ie.no financing on the warranty).

From how it sounds to me, that dealer explained the interest rates poorly. The interest rate promotions that you listed are only if you buy a CPO vehicle. He meant to say that you can get the lower interest rate through IFS if it is a valid CPO vehicle, however he explained it poorly by saying you get the lower interest rate with extendend warranty (CPO warranty).

OK, that's starting to sound a lot more plausible.

hmm...now that makes sense. I check the infiniti official website, they do offer 1.9 APR for 36 mos 2.9 for 60 mos for all CPO if I remember correctly. Anyway, thanks for all the info, I will wait and see what happenes this Friday when I stop by to talk to the financing guy, I really don't worry about my credit, it's just that I really dont want to overpay it.
