Lowering Options on a Budget

I know i know, Ive been told a plenty that if I want to drop my car, I should get Coil overs. However...I can't cough up 1000+ right now. So my options are limited by my current budget.

With that in mind...What do you guys recommend? Which lowering springs are the best "bang for the buck?" Have any of you ever heard of U-Bolts? Check this link out

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=540310_0_0_

It seems cheaper than buying springs. I plan to do it myself, so All I need is the actual hardware. Any recommendations? Thanks

Dude you don't have a leaf spring setup so U Bolt wouldn't work anyways lol. Just get a H&R or Eibach spring set, they are only a couple hundred bucks right? And they drop it pretty low. I was thinking of getting some lowering springs too but once you start dropping you want to keep going; for me thats how it is really though. So I'm saving up for a coilover setup.

Just get Eibachs springs!! Brand new they are about $200. BUt you could always find people selling them for about $100-$125 and you get some quality stuff!!! I got myself Eibachs, its a moderate drop. Coilovers are too expensive! There are always people upgrading, just wait on them!

If you go H&R, S-Techs, or the B&G springs I just got, you'll need camber kits, so the budget will go up about $500 + install

Don't lower your car. If your budget is so low, then don't do it. You're gonna mess things up on your car by not willing to spend the right amount of money on quality stuff. $200 for springs brand new is a good price, used springs cost $150ish. If you're not even willing to fork out that, then i don't know if you should bother with lowering your car or even fixing it up at all.

yeah its gonna cost u more for a more aggresive set of springs but u wont have to get the camber kit right away! u can give it another month or so, ur tires will be fine!! but yeah if u still cant afford just dont do it....

As people said already! A lot of us are on Eibachs without the need of camber kit! Which is gonna get pricier! Wanna save money, get Eibachs, install them yourself(which I did), and remember, you still gotta get an alignment after the drop. Which is gonna run you from $40-$100. If you don't get an alignment you gonna need tires in less than 6months!
Eibachs are not so bad! This is my car on Eibachs!

And on stocks wheels

Vivema - There's a few comments assuming what you are going to want but I would like to hear it from you.
How much lower do you want to go? 1", 2", more? Whats your goal?

nevermind..just saw post #6 - as the guys have said, the lowest springs are going to need camber kits. Eibach Prokit or equivalent will not.
