Hey, im a new member. Cool forum. i have an 07 g35x in grey. its completely stock right now.

tints are a definite.

I want to paint my wheels black but i think i might leave the infiniti logo on the wheels chrome.

I also think im gonna paint the grill black and leave the emblem chrome.

i was wondering what yall suggest to making it look good. i might paint the chrome door linings black and the badges on the back black too. and i might paint the headlights black, but not the entire thing. i think there is a diy on here that came out good. i want it kinda like that.

but you know how the g35x has the chrome spoiler? im not sure if i can paint that, but if so i might.

do you think that would look good? Any other suggestions. feel free to throw in any opinions.

every thing you suggested will work but....

I hope your talking about painting your headlights not tinting them. And im not a fan of painted stock wheels

 

post a picture of your car because for some reason I can't picture which gray your talking about. I would start off with plastidip before you end up painting something that you can't turn back to stock for preference reasons. Youtube "plastidip" or even on this forum and you will find so many DIY's and pictures of users cars. I personally think all the g colors look good with blackout if you have a set of sick rims too.

oh yeah ... I would do it ... If I had the same color no doubt in my mind I would do it. In my opinion though I would do the rims and if you don't like the outcome just take it off... the only reason why I don't like plastidip for rims is because the surface turns out bubbly if not done completely right (if that makes sense). I would even put a black valence on the rear bumper, which will give it a sportier look). The only stocks rims that don't look a bit tacky when black are the stock 19's of the g37 coupes.

Those mods should look good on that color. I used plasti-dip on my grill & rear spoiler lip. There's a couple DIY links on removing the grill & removing the spoiler chrome piece. Both are simple to remove & much easier than taping up everything and spraying them on the car, plus you'll get the paint in all the edges much better too.

 

those are sick pics, the grills and wheels are a definite. its just the black chrome spoiler, chrome window panels and badges that i was looking for opinions about.

blacked out headlights are so nice, that is another definite

 

Personally, I don't think the grill will look outta place... If I were to black out the grill I would leave the emblem chrome... In my opinion complete black grill looks good on black g's.
