31,000 Miles - Loaded - $22,400

Our 2003 Jetta was rear ended and we decided it was time to upgrade.

I have a few questions. There is a small rattle between the gauge cluster plastic window and the plastic bezel above the steering wheel. Is that something that I can get Infinity to take care of under warranty?

Also, I had the car checked out and everything came back OK. However, yesterday I was turning a corner, the road was brick, and it seemed like there was a rattle in the front end or it was loose. Is that just how the car is or could there be an issue. I guess I will just tell the service department about that when I bring it in for the rattle.

Is there a way to turn off the little light that illuminates the console from above. I didn't see anything in the settings.

I read that there should be a transmission flush around 30k. Anything else I need to do?

Congrats!... yes you do need to have it serviced every 30k which includes replacement of the following. Transmission fluid, Differential fluid, replacement of the serpentine belt, coolant flush, and if necessary the cabin air filter. There are a few more things that infiniti checks out and does as well but those are the most important. You may also need to have the power steering fluid and brake fluid checked out too.
If you read the warranty booklet this will all be listed in there. As far as any issue that is brought to your attention I would not disregard it. Take it in and have them do what is necessary because that's what they are there for. The most common issues that people with these vehicles have is cosmetic such as trim fading away on the steering wheel, corrosion of the headlights, door panel fading or chipping etc.
Good choice on the color!

Welcome to the G community. You've definitely found on e of the best online sources of help and information.

Sorry to hear about the Jetta. We also had an 03 Jetta TDI Wagon and it was an excellent car.

I'm not sure about the rattling plastic. I'm on G #2 and havent had that problem.

It's possible that at 31k miles some suspension components may be starting to show signs of wear. Wear and tear depends on the previous driver style and the type of roads driven over. Have the suspension looked at again by a second inspector.

As mentioned, there is no switch for that light. You can remove the bulb or replace it with one that is less bright.

Your AT transmission fluid isn't supposed to be replaced at 30k miles unless you are following the 'Premium Maintenance Schedule'. If you follow schedule 1 or 2 (more common) then it should be replaced based on condition following an inspection. That being said, you bought a previously owned G and if you don't know how the car was driven or maintained you may want to replace it. Ask your own trusted mechanic. If you ask Infiniti, of course they will likely recommend replacing the AT fluid, needed or not.

^ I think G3065 must work for an Infiniti dealership Serviced, yes but you do not need to replace those components simply because you are at 30k miles.

Looks great...

Is that a Journey with the Sport Wheels, or a Sport with a Journey bumper?
