This needs to go facing backwards so I could blind the bitch behind me driving for 2 miles behind me with her brights on. Finally got out at a light and told her to turn them off or go around me. Whenever I slowed sop she could go around she would just come to a stop. She finally turned them off and had one of her low beams off. What a wh@@@re. Would have loved to put 10 million candlepower in her face.

3 pages of boos and wows and only one mention of the thermal function of the original grille that is being covered up. The fin and opening is there for a reason. Assuming the LED light bar is not a major source of heat itself, by blocking the lower airflow to the radiator you are still shortening the life of your transmission, stressing your cooling system, and every other system that relies on the radiator area to cool its fluid for proper operation. You could probably get away with that on some older cars where nothing was covered up underneath.
Notice I'm not loving or hating the bar itself, I have my opinion but that's irrelevant at this point.
If you do end up keeping it, I'd at least switch to a different maintenance schedule where you'd flush your fluids more often. I know it sounds exaggerated, but you can't fool the laws of thermodynamics. If that thing increases the operating temperature of your transmission fluid by a mere 10 degrees, it will be equivalent to cutting its life by 10,000 miles. Just some food for thought.

It doesn't look fitting to these cars at all but I would love this for remote country driving in the middle of the night when no other cars are around. Obviously nobody is taking a G off road which is what its for but I could see it being used well for country driving!

Bringing this thread back from the dead, that's my thoughts as well, which he mentioned in his original post, but most people seem to have missed it. I'm doing this on my G, a long with figuring out some stealth mounts for ditch lights at the base of the A-Pillar. I do a fair amount of driving in the Northwoods of Wisconsin and extra light is always a good thing to have up there.
