Hotchkis Sways and Endlinks

Are your endlinks really more likely to fail with the hotchkis versus an eibach sway bar kit due to the harsher ennvironment and stiffer sway??

THank you

I've seen previous gen people complain about that, but not a 2nd gen person. I've only had mine on for a few months and no issues this far. I did have to really tighten down the front one, it came a little loose one time and made a bad thunking sound going over bumps!

If anyone has heard otherwise please chime in!!!

I've only seen a couple of 2nd gen endlinks go kaput from aftermarket sways. One i know runs on Hotchkis, but i think this is more coincidence than anything.

Although the 2nd gen endlinks are supposedly beefier than those from the 1st gens, they're still prone to increased wear/tear from the stiffer sways. IMHO, the combination of stiffer sways, aggressive driving and a significant drop will stress those endlinks beyond spec. Eventually, they'll fail.

That said, with hardly any aftermarket options available that i know of, it's good to know that new endlinks can be had for cheap. If needed, new OEM replacements will at least last anyone for a few more months/years or until the aftermarket catches up.

I am only dropping on eibach so I should be fairly ok.

Do you really think the hotchkis will stress the endlinks THAT much more than the eibachs though??

IMO, it has more to do with the drop and resulting harsh angle on the endlink more than the stiffer bar.

3+ years and going strong

I'm lowered on Eibach springs with Eibach sway bars and I needed new end links. The stock end links have a rubber bushing inside of them which is what really fails. The stock links just are not made for the change in suspension geometry.

When they fail, the suspension will have a "knocking" sound. Kind of like the sound of exhaust piping hitting the frame.
