This weekend I am taking the oem G 19 wheels to the powdercoater and the only problem is, i dont know what color. I was leaning towards the dark steel high gloss but now Im thinking a high gloss silver or black chrome even. i need some opinions here. Light medium or dark? Ill be looking at the samples this weekend before I drop the wheels off.

I kinda like the hyper silver finish on the OEM wheels. Also keep in mind that no powdercoating or paint can replicate the hyper silver finish that comes from the factory. I say keep em but instead, powdercoat or paint your brake calipers to give it a new look.

the wheels are beat up after 3 years. A refinish is a must. Paint flakes too easily. my brake calipers are OEM and the non-sport ones. Not a fan of blinging out OEM calipers with OEM wheels.

 

I would go with the hyper black (color on the stock IS-F and also GTR wheels). Then maybe add some flakes to make em different.

Regular black/gunmetal are dime a dozen.
