A forum member on another auto forum I frequent is having various electrical issues with his 07 G35x sedan. He's pretty bummed and his situation seems a little peculiar. Please see below, any ideas?!

" Over the past month or so, my passenger headlight likes to work on the sporadic side. Seems that the ballast may be the culprit here. Dealer quote to fix: about $1100. Tire pressure monitor system always displaying that I have a low tire even though all are at pressure (including the spare). Last, and certainly not least, the navigation has failed. Not the worst thing in the world generally, except it also kills the radio and the climate control."

 

If you look around at online used parts sites, you can get that ballast at a fraction of that price. There is even a couple infiniti dealers on here who sell parts at a nice discount. That nav is a bitch tho, you need to diagnose if the head unit failed or what before you spring for another one, pref a used one. If he's out of warranty I would avoid the dealer and find a reputable local shop, pref one that works with nissans.
