Low RPM @ Idle

I've been noticing the same problem: upon start up and at idle. On start up, my rpms will drop below 1 and sound/feel like it's going to die before returning to normal. On idle, it does same thing if I rev my engine. I have an 08 6MT.
I have yet to take my car to the dealer. Anyone know what's going on?

Took my car for service under my Maintenance Package and had them look at the "low rpm" issue. They did two things for me:
1) Cleaned the throttle bodies because there was carbon build up
2) Re-flashed my ECU to an updated software
It worked!! Before, it was difficult to get in first gear, especially going up hills/driveways. I always had to really tap the gas to keep my revs up before feeling safe to let the clutch go. Basically it would stall easily.
But now, I can let the clutch go to a certain point and feel confident the engine will not die. It doesn't have this "shudder" feeling like it used to.
Hope this helps others!

Hey guys Just a thought I'm having almost the same problem, but mine also the moment I'm going to slow down down My RPM drop then kinda bounce back up a little. And Then when I drive my car for more than 15mins I noticed this Jerk like or hesitate when I press the gas to pass around 1000k. Any thoughts? thanks in advance.

I'm having the same issue. What's the best way to approach getting this fixed? Should I call the dealer and tell them I am having an issue with RPM dips? I'm worried about haggling with the dealer and them making this a really painful process. I have the extended warranty, will it cost anything?
Thanks for all of the help guys. I'm having the same issue described by others, low RPM at idle and significant dip in RPMs at start up.

so i took my car to the dealership this past weekend to get this "issue" worked on and according to them they did not notice anything. I know im not imagining things especially when i know my car like i no my wifes A**, Luckily i was only charged the 9 dollars for the rentapiece but still im convinced the TB's need to be cleaned but... oh well looks like im gonna do it myself.

^yeah TB cleaning is a maintaince thing and not something that would be covered under warranty though these TBs do get dirty quickly, as for those who asked if TSBs are covered under warranty...
Well technically TSBs(technical service bulletins are just meant to tell the dealership techs how to cure a common problem on the car without having to waste their time trying to figure of out the solution) are not recalls so dealers are not bound to do it for free(unless ur still under warranty)and most will charge you for it but some good dealerships value the customer and possible future business and will honor such services for free .
