HI!!
I have a 2008 G35xs 4 doors.
I want to replace the original headlight light bulbs with 8000K hid, do i need to buy two sets: one for high beam and one for low beam? and do i need to purchase another set of HID conversion kit? or just replace the light bulbs?

help please.
if you can provide me with the light bulbs' type and links that will be awesome.

 

You just need 1 pair of 8000K D2S HID replacement bulbs. You do not need an extra set of conversion kit. Just replace the bulb and you're good to go. But keep in mind that with 8000K, you will lose significant amount of light output with higher rated Kelvin bulbs. Highest I would go would be 6000K.

 

With 8000K you will not see much on the road, especially when raining. I wouldn't go higher than 6000K

lose amount of light output?? is that means with 8000K, the lights wont be as bright as with 6000K?

They won't be appear to be as bright in the frequencies of light that your eyes are tuned to see in.

 

i have 8000k and im happy with them.

 

Given the amount of sales of the 8K bulbs, apparently lots of others are too.

But if I told you there was a $1000 bill sitting on the road and you could have it if you could see it from 50 yards, I bet you'd wish you had something in a lower K value.

I went on ebay and looked.. there's some D2S for high beam or low beam...
i really dont need to buy two pairs? if so which ones should i buy?

i really dont know what you talking about bro, but ill give you this website that have great hid kits for a really low price. they are great and i personally used them. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Ap...Raptor-HID-Kit

 

Your high beams are halogen 9006 IIRC. Low beams are D2S on HID equiped cars. If you want to go all highspeed, you can get a kit for the high beams. Low beam HID's only need bulbs.

This is wrong. The 9006 is the fog/day time running lamp. The D2S bulb is both the low and high beam!

 

But there are two types of D2S, one for low beam and one for high beam, isnt it?
or they are the same?
