Excited NEW G35x OWNER!
Excited NEW G35x OWNER!
Pretty excited! Got to the dealer and saw they had a 2007 G35x with Navi. Graphite exterior and black interior with aluminum accents.
Price was $20k and I haggled them down to $17,600. It has 50,000 miles exact on it. Do you guys think I got a fair deal? The car looked pristine inside and out.
This is my first car. Any recommendations on what type of accessories I should get?

Will definitely post some pictures once it gets delivered tomorrow!
I will be driving back to school this Sunday through a snow storm. Is this car more than capable of handling some solid snow?

Great deal IMO
where abouts are you from? Just wondering if you have gotten it out in the snow yet. If you need new tires and don't want to drop a fortune on the Mich Pilots, try the Cooper CS4s. Make sure you get the V rated not the T rated. It was a fantastic choice for me.
Yes, with proper tires, this car is amazing in the snow!!!

I just did the down payment today and signed a whole bunch of papers. (I'm 19 so this is my first car I am buying and financing under my name).
Car was from a Toyota dealer in MA. I live in NH and go to school in VT. The dealer put on new tires for the car but I don't know what type they are - I assume summer tires or all seasons.
Funny how I've been lurking these forums since 2007 and only now have I gotten a G35!

congrats man, sounds like it's been a long time coming for you. Now you finally have a G! If you've been on this fourm since 07 I'm sure you're already infected with the mod bug.

Also, the guy at the dealer told me the car can be driven in 3 modes:
1. Just in D (Drive)
2. Shifted in "sport"
3. Just left in "sport"
Can someone explain if this is correct and if there is any difference? Thanks!

1. Just regular driving
2. Move shifter to the left and then you could control when to shift from 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th! By moving shifter up and down!
3. Move shifter to the left but ÿôū just leave it there! I think it revs higher than regular D!

Congratulations! Sounds like you did very well on the deal based on what they are bringing in the Nashville area here.
If you did not get an owners manual with your car (its common for dealers to take them out and discard them for some strange reason) I recommend you get one. I think there are some places you can get them on line. The manual is pretty extensive and actually has a lot of useful information. Also be sure to read all the stickies, wealth of great info there. This car has a lot more depth in the number of features than many folks realize, especially the electronics.
Don't know if you know it or not, but the paddle shifters from the Sport model can be easily added for under $300 since you seem to be enjoying the manual shift function...just search on paddle shifter for some helpful threads.
Congrats again!

Thanks guys! Just got it delivered today and it drove VERY nicely in the snow today. Engine sounds better than the test drive at the dealer and the electronics and luxuries are spoiling me! I was surprised when I put it into reverse it had the back up camera. I thought you needed the tech package for that on the 2007s.
I didn't get pictures today since it was too dark outside. I will tomorrow when it is SUNNY.
