Whats up guys. i got an 07 g35s sedan 6mt and i was looking to get more power I'm considering a rear mounted turbo setup. Now has anyone ever done something like that before on this car..or ever turboed this car in general? Also what type of supporting mods do you recommend? Rods, Pistons. Prob gonna be running like 5-7 lbs of boost. Any Recommendations?

no one has done rear mount on the sedan before, STS have a rear kit for the 370z, turbo kits are available from GTM, JWT (not sure if it is released or not), and greddy (not sure about fitment on HR sedan). As for the rest use the search button, also go on the G37 and 370z forum and check the engine and FI section for more reference.

For 5-7 psi... as long as you don't punch it all day.. you should be fine with the stock internals.... Just make sure you don't run lean..

STS is the only choice for rear mount turbo because they have some sort of patent on the turbo's oiling system. If you go for it, it will be a custom setup. Here's a thread for you:

why place the turbo in the rear? Is it due to clearance issues under the hood?

There are rear mount turbos for many cars. The one advantage is that the intake charge has some time to cool down a bit, but (correct me if I'm wrong) there is a bit more turbo lag with a rear mount set up.

depends on the car and turbo as usual but the lag is not bad.
