Ipod classic video out
Ipod classic video out
Does the 5th gen ipod classic send video out via the docking port? Wondering why its not displaying video on the lcd when im parked and hand brake engaged. Saw a few threads on other sites that says u have to use a rca cable that connects to the head phone jack. Is this true? If so why make a cable with video audio connectors comming from the dock port (which is what i have)

Who knows the mind of Apple, but, yeah, it's an RCA to headphone jack cable that does it. And if I'm not mistaken, if you just use a generic cable, the video signal actually comes out on the red RCA plug, and the right audio is on the yellow RCA plug.
the Nissan/Infiniti cable or the headunit isn't accepting video from that source, but the iPod has the ability to output video from it's dock port, not just the headphone jack.
