Should this be covered by warranty?
Bro... there's a 20048+ page discussion about it... most dealers cover it, and if urs doesn't, and u live in ny, let me know ill send u to my guy.
The only gripe I had was that the new steering wheel leather feels cheaper than the original... and they were supposed to swap out both sides of the window switch panel, but only did the driver side ... passenger side wasn't peeling though.

Dealer replacing the steering wheel!
Let me try this again - just posted this to the wrong thread. The dealer, Nationwide Infiniti, is installing a new steering wheel under warranty. Thanks for everyone's input. It gave me confidence when I went in to speak with service.
how about the rear doors handle (pull)?
when they did mine, i think they only replaced the front pair, i don't think they did anything to the rear doors.
i wonder if i should get those done before my warranty expires?

Conclusion
Got my car back - dealer gave me a free loaner and put in a brand new steering wheel. The cost to Infiniti was $1,017 of which only $89 was labor. I am amazed that Infiniti would suck up a grand under warranty for some peeling paint on a 46-month old vehicle rather than calling it wear and tear. Very pleased. Also checked the door pulls and they were pristine so no problem there.
As an aside, when the dealer had it they did a general inspection and said the rear pads were 3/32 and 4/32 and needed replacement - not surprised as 90% is around town driving. Quoted me $608 for pads, machining rotors and brake fluid flush. Called another dealer who claimed the rear rotors are too thin to even be machined once and quoted me $714 for pads, rotors and brake flush. Using an indy certified master mechanic and Nissan/Infiniti specialist, $302 for OEM pads, machine rotors and brake fluid. Both the first dealer and indy told me the dealer who claimed the rotors cannot be machined was full of it.
Thanks once again to everyone who took the time to provide helpful information.
