Roadside Assistance

Roadside Assistance
My remaining warranty is summarized below. I never took out extended warranty, so I currently have no roadside assistance and am looking at options..
1) Does INFINITI offer any plans to extend that "Infinity road side assistance" ? I assume no.
2) I am toying with taking out a CAA (AAA) membership at this point. My wife is a member, and I know I am covered when she is with me in the car (membership is for the person, not the car), but I currenty have no coverage when travelling without her. Its approx $50-$100 /yr and I know some feel is a waste of money - especially if needed after a deep freeze when there is a six hour wait time, but I am leaning to joining simply for the peace of mind for other times when one needs 'assistance'. Is this what most owners do?

Yeah, I have just always had the AAA coverage, even before I ever bought the G. I think it's the family plan or something. Some years, I never use it, other years I have been able to use it to tow cars to and from the bodyshop for painting when I was rebuilding them, jump start for dead batteries, opening door when locked out, and 10% discounts on lots of travel stuff. All in, I'm sure they're still making money from me, but if you're mindful of all the benefits, you can get a bit more value from it than just peace of mind (even though that part's invaluable for my wife).

HOWEVER, reading the coverage, in my case anyway, it's not road side assistance at all. Its only reimbursement for expenses ..you need to get the assistance on your own!
Exact wording is "EMERGENCY ROADE SERVICE EXPENSES - Coverage for emergency road service: allows for the reimbursement of towing and emergency expenses up to $50."
So, I think CAA/AAA is looking good.
