something broke in the door handle, can't close door
So we had some freezing rain come by, and it got pretty cold, I walked up to the car to drive it away after it was parked for a day. I pulled at the handle the door opened, got in, and tried to close the door, no dice.
It is as if the handle is constantly pulled, but neither the interior or exterior handle is being pulled.
I cannot close the door, it does not latch.
Anyone experience this problem? Do I have to tear apart the whole door panel, window assembly, and all that other stuff to get to the bottom of this?
Help? lol had to move the car into the garage, and disconnected the door sensor so the battery doesn't drain.

Open the door and look at the latch sometimes it just gets stuck in the locked position. You can just open it with your hand, had this problem with my old truck. Not near my car so can't expect if it is the same.
The latch may have gotten stuck, but be careful, I have had this happen to me on my G (twice) and the first time when i manually moved the latch to allow it to shut and closed the door, it became stuck shut. Turns out both times I had a door lock actuator freeze up and when I pulled the door handle thinking my door was unlocked everything just kinda broke leaving the door stuck. This occurred when it was cold out and there was some freezing rain/snow. Nissan seems to use the worst door lock actuators/handles ever designed, google "nissan door actuator problems" and a lot of threads will come up. I assume they use the same part on many models, the key fobs and exterior handles are all the same. Friend has this problem twice on her Rogue as well, I believe there is a recall for that car however. I really think they should be redesigned/recalled for the G as well, as a door that doesn't open makes it kinda hard to get out of the car in an emergency situation.
It turns out, after I pulled the door handle, the mechanism inside the door handle had not released itself. Yet the operation of the door handles looked normal. I took the door panel off, door access panel, and released the mechanism by hand inside the door. I lubed it up, and it seems to be work fine for now. I really hope this doesn't happen again far away from home, because not being able to shut the door is going to make even towing the thing a huge hassle.
