Something Weird
so my nephew borrowed my car recently and the bonehead filled the tank with regular gasoline. as soon as the tank dropped a quarter, i topped it up with premium.
i did notice some noise with the regular fuel and the drive felt kinda weird.
but the really weird thing is that when i topped it up with the premium my "distance to empty" shot up to about 100km more than i usually get. i'm noticing that the fuel economy is a lot better with this mix of premium and regular fuel. is it just me?

the distance to empty is pretty finicky and will change a lot depending on how you hard or lightly you were driving at the given moment, the mix would not cause for the car to give better mpgs.
The noise could be of the engine knocking due to the low octane in a lower quality fuel though many here have reported that they use regular with no issues. The cost difference between regular and premium(at least here) is only ~15-20cents so thats only $2-3 more for the entire tank fill up compared to regular which is not worth the possibility of knocking imo
