Can I remove bumper inserts or replace them?

I outlined them in red. These faux air-intake inserts...Can they be removed? I think they look kind of ugly and was wondering if I can remove them, are there any aftermarket parts to replace them with to make the front end a little more aggressive?

Thanks!

No they are molded within the bumper form what iv seen, and some people have drilled holes in them while others cut it out to replace with some mesh... however from what iv seen these are made solid on purpose for better aerodynamics.

I didn't like them either so I put some DRLs in them.

Wish I could get the sport bumper but I have the intelligent cruise control box which makes it a no-go right?

They look a little better when shined up with "Trim Shine" spray ... other then that I would just add a lip and take the focus off of them.
