While I was driving home I noticed a very loud metallic sound coming from the driver side suspension area. Upon further inspection I noticed the SPC Camber Control Arm, at the red rubber pivot joint area cracked. Now I am looking for another Camber Kit. Is there a kit out there that is stonger and is just as adjustable as the SPC? I have an H&R Drop, so the alignment is important to me when it come to the Camber Kit. Can Someone point me in the right direction Please?

I would consider calling SPC to see if they will warrant it. Did you bottom out? I think with low drops like H&R, and camber correction at the extreme end of it's limits, it will hit the wheel well above.

Wow sorry to hear about that. When it comes to camber kits, SPC is known as some of the best on the market and are highly recomended by pretty much everyone on the forum. My advise would be to call SPC and explain to them the situation and see if they wont replace the part. How many miles have you put on the camber kit also??

I would be surprised if they didn't honor that under a manfuacturer defect/warranty. if they don't and you're looking to go to another company, you can't get better than the spl kit. it is one of the most expensive kits, but also the most adjustable.

I'm shocked the spc kit cracked - if you've ever handled one, you'll know it's pretty beastly.

edit: just realized spl doesn't make a front camber kit for v36 platform. try to get the spc kit replaced or buy a new one - it's the best available to you.

SPC has a really good rep here...I'm sure they'll replace your A-arms

Thanks everyone. I have about 50K miles on them. I cannot believe how it happened. I didn't bottom out either. As I was making it onto the highway, I noticed the load metallic sound. So I pulled over and reached my hand up in the area where I thought a bolt was supposed to go. But I wasn't a missing bolt, It was a clean crack. I will post pictures up tomorrow. I am at work now.

Why do the kits look so different? I am talking about the Red pivot joint area. One looks to be more secure/sturdier than the other.

Definitely interested in pics, I'm dropped about 2" in the front w/ SPC arms and have hit a few big potholes at speed w/ very hard bottom-outs and the arms are still rock solid. Would like to see the exact area that failed for reference as those hard smacks get pretty scary sometimes

Okay, I just ordered another set from the stillen site. I also wrote to SPC, (Specialty Products Company), to see if they warranty the Kits. I have no patience when my car isn't drivable. I am so upset that this happened. On my order, I selected Next Day delivery and the price remained the same. $353.54. I hope they arrive by Tuesday.

I hate SPC junks. They're fragile and cheaply made. That being said, there was no other choice when I was shipping around for a set of front camber arms so I ended up with their junk. SPC front arms are notorious for hitting the top of wheel well for V36s and Z34s. I am also in the same situation and hitting the top of wheel well all the time with these junk arms. Currently, SPL is said to be working on a Z34 front camber adjusting arms (and it will not be another A-arm). Hopefully, this Z34 version will also fit on our V36 Gs... because the moment it drops, I'm ditching these POS SPCs.
