So as some of you may know, I installed my non sport front lip last week Thursday, and less than 24 hours later someone scratches my bumper as well as my brand new lip

sad to hear, im sure everyone has experienced such luck at times but you just got to try and move on! waiting for pics

 

That really sucks. Hopefully the scratches are minor. Even though you just got your lip, the reality is that in a year or two, it'll be scratched up some anyways.

 

Funny, I just installed my journey lip a few weeks ago and the day after someone hit my bumper. That'll teach me to park on the street again. Some things you just can't control.

 

I feel ya on that one. I had to get my car buffed and waxed to remove some scratches from some douche who parks their car right next to mine in a practically empty lot. Then after paying for that service, the day after I end up getting scraped again. People in general are just inconsiderate of others property, especially when they feel they can get away with it.

To the OP, good luck with everything. Insurance won't cover it?

 

^ if it's minor it may be less than his deductible. And yes, it does seem people are inconsiderate of other people's property, some people are oblivious to their surroundings and the damage they cause. Good luck OP, hope the repairs are simple and minor. Oh, and wish me luck, my non sport bumper is going on Saturday...

 

Bro I'm in the same boat... my bumper was prestine (had it painted in December) and yesterday it got swiped by some douche..

Insurance WILL cover it since its not ur fault and u were not present in the car.. however, the claim may count against u if u had other occurrences in the last 18 months... well atleast that's the law in NY. My mom has 2 already, barring me from making my own claim from the fear of screwing my rates up.

If u don't have a bad claims record, u should try it... however, if u have a high deductible its gonna suck... unless ur shop over charges the insurance company to help u out.
