Resonator delete

Hi all... I have the Fast Intentions cat back exhaust. I've had it for 4 years now and absolutely love the sound! Now on to the problem:

Installed my front camber/caster arms last weekend. When my buddy pulled it onto the alignment rack we misjudged how low my car was sitting. Long story short, he hit the resonator on the alignment rack frame. Now the drone resonance at 3300 RPM sounds like crap and vibrates everything on the inside of my car

For a temp fix, I was looking at taking the resonator out all together and just going straight pipe to bypass it. There is no way it could sound any worse...lol! The way the exhaust used to sound was great, nice and deep. I just don't want it to sound like a $25 civic with a popcan exhaust! No Offence intended if you like that sound, it's just that I dont.

I've been looking around quite a bit but don't see much on resonator delete for the 2nd gen g35 sedan. I have seen and heard several muffler delete clips (or no exhaust at all) but they sound quite a bit different.. The cars I did find sound a bit more throaty but aren't our 2nd gen sedan.

Any inputs, links, or vids would be more than welcome. Thanks all!!!

You sure the dented pipe is not just banging up against something at that rpm? I wouldn't think a dented resonator would do that.

2005 sedan, with no resonators

I have a custom 2.5" dual exhast system on my G, and did away with the resonator. I have not purchased my HFC's yet; but new Berks along with a O- tune is on the to do list. I will promise you it will not soung like a chain saw. It will have a low tone, and sound great, but you will hear it in the cab, I like the sound personally, especially at 5800rpm coming out of auto-second. If you get tired of listening to the exhaust as you drive it like you stole it, Crank up some Five Finger Death Punch > Under & Over it, and you will be good!

When we put it on the lift, we checked the resonator and it hasn't moved one bit. It has no cracks and is touching absolutely nothing. While up there, I was reving it and my buddy heard it coming only from the resonator. At about 3400 RPMs.
