Newbie Introduction
Hello all,
I've been checking into the community now for around two years. I've been a fan of the G since it's introduction and always assumed I'd eventually own one. Based on what I've seen, it's a very reliable car.
I'd been planning on purchasing a Subaru BRZ (Not at all comparable but I wanted something that handled well.) when it came into dealers but after siting in one at the Washington Auto Show, I began to realize that it wasn't at all practical for my needs. Also, I didn't really like the interior. I decided then that I would purchase a G.
After test driving a few Gs (two coupes and two sedans--both transmissions on each), I decided on a Blue Slate 2008 G35S 5AT w/ Premium Package w/31K miles. (I drive in DC/ Northern VA traffic and wasn't sure I'd be able to control my rage with a manual.) It's been three weeks and the smile hasn't escaped my face. I look forward to driving to work now and the work day can't end soon enough.
A little info about me:
I'm coming from a Smoke Metallic, 2005 Nissan Altima 3.5SE and I live in the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area.
Thanks for reading my long post and I look forward to participating in and contributing to the community.

It's awesome. I look for back roads now. For now, the stock exhaust note is pretty addicting.
The color is great because it looks different based on the light reflection bouncing off of the car.
I've gotten to drive it in the rain and it's not as bad as I've read about. It's probably the all-seasons Infiniti of Chantilly put on. In the coming weeks, I'm opting for either OEM summer tires or Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. The current all-seasons protest whenever I take a corner at speed.
At some point, I'll likely put a set of 08 G37S Coupe wheels on it.
