I agree the BMW is more plain, its like comparing the bland ness of a Macbook Pro to a Acer with blue lights all over I guess simplicity is the ultimate sophistication sometimes.

Although I do feel things like the NAV should be standard I dont mind not having it... The stereo is so so but I wouldnt say its worse than my 06 G's 6 speaker stereo. ( V36's got a better system ).

I have the US's base 3 series system ( UK gets a worse 6 speaker setup ) but the US models base stereo is a 10 speaker setup with rear components and front 3 way components. Front gets tweets, 4" doors + 8" under seat mids plus rear components.. Not the loudest but the sound quality is far from bad..

Hey I never said the BMW isnt plain and isnt pricey for what you get ( value ) but the main reason I bought it was for driving and it does that well.

My G35 drove great as well and ill never knock that car it served me well.

Wierd stiff leather, firm seats? Im sorry I thought I was driving a machine built for driving not a buick.. I dont find the leather any more stiff than my G35's.

Ugly shifter? you do know the G35s prime target what is goes after is the 3 series right?

Cup holders? Please tell me your not buying a sports sedan because of the cup holders??

Hey its all good everyone is entitled to there opinion.. Im a fan of both the 3 Series as well as the G35 I loved mine.. I almost bought a G35 ( V36 ) after selling my V35 06 Sedan
I just wanted to move up to something diff. Ive been a Nissan car fan for a long time..

 

imo 03 generation g35 and 350z have the best looking manual boot and shifter.

 

Circle design of the Older G/Z's is pretty nice, The 07+ G35 / G37 shifter is pretty much the same shape as the 06-11 BMW 3 series.

That was dumb of infiniti imo but looks a lot better than bmws design

 

both look nice to me.

 

They also went after the 3 series's seats.. new G's seats w/thigh extensions like the BMW's , Gas pedal now attached to the floor etc
but I dont think thats a bad thing, the G's biggest competitor is the 3 its what they aim for

Infiniti is a more sporting luxury than say Lexus it guns for BMW while Lexus guns more for MB.

Damn lol thx for sharing I wasn't aware Infiniti decided to gay the interior and copied BMW like that. Wat a shame. Any significance to why the BMW boot console is not symetrical? And why the BMW shifter feels so fragile and weak like it'll break if I shift too hard

 

Your comments are starting to just sound like an Infiniti Fanboy vs an Auto Enthusiast.. The V36 interior was a huge step up from the V35 which was very Nissan-ish vs Sport Lux.
Im not biased to BMW or Infiniti and I dont think either are " gay as you call it " They are both great "drivers" automobiles.
