Has anyone gone from a Lexus/Bmw or Benz to the Infiniti?

Has anyone gone from a Lexus/Bmw or Benz to the Infiniti?
I had an IS350 Lexus before I got the G, and honestly I must say the fit and finish of minor things are subpar IMO. The Lexus has a touch access door entry rather than pushing a button every time. I feel like the Nav screen trim is cheap and flexible, just some other things that really show me that Nissan didn't put the time and effort to make this a truly Luxury automobile. I also have an M3 Coupe as weekend car, and well, I don't need to say anything more. The keyfob is so cheap looking and they use the same one's for Nissan's? The headliner is an exact replica of the one in my friends Altima...There should be an element of exclusivity there if you're paying twice the price of an Altima for this car. Infiniti needs to step their game up because as it is, I don't see them ever surpassing Lexus in terms of quality..yet they charge the same prices..but Lexus holds their value much more.
This is my last Infiniti.
This is my last Infiniti.

^ seriously how can u complain about these things AFTER buying the G, while the points maybe valid i fail to understand how these things dont catch your attention when u were buying the G, many have come from merc and bmw to the G and love it of course the quality is not up there, then again the price isnt either as compared those models and infiniti has not been in the game as long as the others.
They have started to get good success and are stepping it up each year, if u wanted luxury with sports you should have gotten the M and then we would not see you complaining about these things considering the fact that it seems luxury is more important to you than performance and M has a great pkg of both with more emphasis on the luxury and get the 56 and performance is right up there too.
Basically you should look into such things before making a big investment and figure if its right for you rather tahn complain about such silly things later

clearly all of you had crappy cars before the G...SMH will anyone with a late model luxury car please step in?
I didn't buy the car unseen, when i first saw the interior i LOVED it much more than my IS350, unfortunately it's the small things that count. after 4 years i've grown to find many of it's shortcomings. The IS350 was my first car so i had nothing to compare that to... I got the Infiniti because I wanted something cheap to maintain but with better legroom than my Lexus. Thus I went with the G. I would love an M56 but the G is my daily and I can't have 2 V8 cars. Both my G and my M3 are an 08MY but the BMW just feels lightyears ahead as far as quality of parts and the Lexus was even better. I'm not even taking into consideration the driving feel or anything else but purely quality of build...
If the issue is amount of time Infiniti has been on the market, well look at Lexus, they were introduced in the late 80's and the new GS F Sport looks so ridiculous and has a 12" nav screen. I would love to have it but I'm enjoying only having one car payment. Heck, they've even entered the supercar market.
I'm not a Lexus fanboy or even BMW fanboy I have appreciation for all cars. I just feel like the quality of everything is less than what it should be, given the price of the car. My IS350 was only 43k new. Same as an equipped G37, so I am comparing apples to apples. I had my IS350 for 2 years and I didn't get a single rattle after 39k miles. My G is an 08 with only 38k miles and the dash shakes like a ***** in church.

came from an 01 audi s4, if that counts.
loved that car, and i do miss it, but for the price, the G is an excellent car. your complaints are not very significant and don't really hold any weight. it's a solid car for the price, and reliable as heck; compared to an m3 or an s4, what have you.
..on another note..
you're coming across as somewhat of an elitist douche; get over yourself.
"i have a bmw, a lexus and this infiniti is subpar..."
get off your self-imposed pedestal.
kthx

with reguards to your part sharing comments.
Your looking at it one sided with no proof, it could be the other way. Say nissan made the g35 parts and found it to be a decent part they expanded to a other cars. Same could go for a altima chassis. They did the all the market research for the G, they just used it for the atlima. It doesnt lower the G35 much if thats the case.
You see parts as a negative, i see parts as a postive. The more parts they share the more cheaper it is to produce and easier to find. Honda has done this with their civic and higher end integra line. Toyota has done a camry and ES3xx. Prius and CT200. SC300 and Supra MK4. In the end parts for those cars are MUCH cheaper because of this and thats what makes it a good buy in my eyes.
Obviously you have a much higher standard for cars, given so because your making a more money then I. I bought my car used and it was a much better bargain then the others mentioned. If your only keeping cars for 3 years or so, then easily get a lexus due to resale. But if you was to keep a car 10 plus years and drive them equal, a G35/7 will be cheaper VS a m3. The IS350/GS350 might be a push. As much as i want to say something bad about the IS/GS i cant because they are just as good as G.
I took the G because guys here are more DIY and its cheaper. Compared to the IS owners, most of them are take it to the dealership type of guys.
