2010+ Rear Bumper from G37 sedan retrofitted to 07-08 sedan? Anyone do it? Details?

I want to retrofit a 2010+ G37 sedan rear bumper to my 08 G35x Base Model sedan.
Who has done it?
Is it straight "bolt-on"?
If not, what are the modifications necessary to make it work?

I am also swapping of my front bumper for the 07-09 Sport Front Bumper.
If you have any of these bumpers for sale, or can offer any help in locating them, please PM me.

I believe the part # for the NON-tech 2010 rear bumper is #85022-1NF0H
and that the 07-09 Sport Sedan is part #62022-JK20H.

I'm 99.9% sure its a direct swap for the rear bumper. The front bumper can be ordered from infinitiparts.com or something like that, can't remember the exact site so hopefully somebody has the exact name.

Tony was nice enough to take time out of his day to call me back. (Thanks, Tony)

He cannot confirm that anyone has successfully done this swap.

any reason for wanting to do this? the only difference is the indents around the exhaust. it should be a direct bolt up. save your money and just do the front bumper. spend the rear bumper on some sort of performance upgrade like exhaust.

^whs, get a the autokits diffuser which makes the rear look really nice.

And as i said in the previous thread, "unless ur current bumper is wrecked it does not make sense to replace it with the newer one since the changes are so subtle that dont justify the price imo which is why not many ppl(if any) have done it" which is why no one has pitched in so far. its probable that someone has done it but highly unlikely.

^Hes not talking about switching from an 08 bumper to 12 bumper. just x-s. which isnt expensive and changes the look dramatically

Id say go for it. I know TONS of people that went from 08 X bumper to 07-09 sport bumper
Its direct bolt on. YES

As far as the rear 2011-12 bumper............why? lol looks hideous

did u even read my post? I Know about the front, everyone does! i was talking about the rear too as thi thread is for the rear bumper, which is why i mentioned getting the rear diffuser for his current rear bumper rather than get the 10+ bumper with subtle changes...

Oh my bad. I just didnt see you specify weather it was the front or rear bumper..so I didnt know what you were talking about.

Regardless i'd agree with the rear bumper comment. +10 REAR Bumper is just a waste of money..
unless you really like it of course

Thanks for the posts.
I am definitely talking about the REAR BUMPER.

Can someone point me in the right direction of someone who has installed a 2010+ Rear Bumper from a G37 sedan on a 07-09 sedan?

Thank you.

For the G Sedan V36 chasis 07-12 there is only 3 part numbers.

07-10 is one rear bumper.

11-12 there is 2 rear bumpers. The only difference from what I can tell is that they have holes for the rear backup sensors. Those sensors are pretty expensive and you would need them in order to fill in the holes since they have the finisher ring around them that come painted.

You can do it, but for the money and for the sensors to not work is kind of a bit much IMHO. I would suggest just adding the autokits X diffuser and maybe the side spats that Ravspec used to have, but that's just me.

Thanks for the posts, but I guess I just like the new "hideous" rear bumper.
I think the new bumper's style matches the Sport Front Bumper on the 07-09 cars.

So, can anyone please point me in the direction of someone who has retrofitted a "new" sedan bumper to the "old" sedan?

Thank you.
