Tuning a stock 2007 G35S
Hi all,
To me its sort of a black magic thing but i'd like to find a way to extract a little more HP / Torque by retuning my G. Is there a home based system like diablosport or another someone reccommends? I'd like to be able to run it in economy for all the miles n the interstate I do and an agressive tune for on the street when just having fun. Is this realistic or even possible? I did search tuning but am having a tough time finding a south florida based tuner that can explain...
Thanks!

tuning a stock setup?
i don't know. i think if Nissan has spent millions of dollar factory testing and turning the whole car to balance out the performance and durability of the components, i would rather stick to that unless i am going to mod it.
but that's just me

I talked to the guys at Uprev, they said their stuff doesn't do much for stock HR motors without mods. You'd get the economy, valet, low octane maps I guess though. As far as I know the home solutions are crap. Without a company constantly updating along side nissan updates (It changing all the time) I wouldn't trust some kind of static solution.
Definitely go to a good tuner. But you won't see any big gains without some aftermarket parts. Get an intake, high flow cats, and a cat back exhaust, then a tune to get some better numbers.
you wont gain anything other than removing the top speed limiter and locking up the torque converter sooner, along with up to 5 different maps with an uprev tune. not going to see much on a stock motor. do full boltons then get it tuned.
stay away from bullydog and hypertech. ive tried both and noticed zero difference. Ive got uprev now and i ts the only way to go.
