Any help with this would be huge! So my key fob is all sorts of messed up. For some reason it will only lock/unlock 1 out of 10 times. I have to use the actual key to get into the car and then its fine, i put the fob into the slot and the car recognizes it and starts up like normal. has this happened to anyone or does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this? Also i do not have a spare key cause i bought the car used and never got one. thanks guys!

Try changing the battery.

Not sure but if you have to buy a new fob, i have one for sale if you need. Hopfully you can get things worked out. Did you change the battery?

If you have a low battery you would/should see this in the Dot matrix liquid crystal display (between the Odo & Tach), when you get in the car with the key.


It could be a problem with the Fob buttons, dirty contacts. Try cleaning it.
It could be a problem with the receiver. I believe it's under the hood.
Also, if memory serves me correctly, there was a recall on the 07 keys due to an issue with being wiped when in close proximity to cell phones.

Buy another key. You should have a spare. Search here and you will find how to get one for a low price.
