Cheap Exhaust Mod Idea.... Need Help

UPDATED!!! PICTURES ON PAGE 2!

So I'm looking for a cheap way out of a custom exhaust. I drive an 07 G35S, and want a louder/deeper sound. I am considering a muffler delete because I want to keep the resonators. My other option, would be putting a washer/spacer in between where the cat and resonator connect. My final idea, is something I just thought of right now and would like some input. If I were to cut my exhaust in between the resonator and muffler, could I get new flanges and weld them in to place, then place a spacer in between there? That would act as a 50/50 muffler delete, and still keep the resonators. The only reason I'm hesitant on a full muffler delete is if it will be too loud, and I won't be able to go back....

Now, I get the point, "Buy a real exhaust!" etc. This is a temporary mod to hold me over for 6 months or so before I plan on getting a "real" exhaust. But in all honesty, would it work?

Taking off the mufflers on these cars is really simple 10min job and easily reversible if you want to see how it sounds(and it will sound VERY LOUD iv tried), there is just one clamp on each muffler pipe connecting to the resonators and then just remove the hook from the muffler hanger.

What??!?!? I never noticed a clamp, I thought the resonator and muffler were connected on a single pipe. I will get underneath my car tomorrow and check it out. Thanks very much for the input!

I did the muffler delete on my 2007 G35x, cheap mod, if you do it right it looks pretty good/ will give you the sound you are looking for.

thats my car with NO mufflers with tubing and stock tips welded on.

I chopped the stock tips off (so they were free) and i think with brackets, tubing and claps it cost no more than 60 bucks. Make sure you spray all the tubing and brackets with black exhaust paint so it all blends in.

I went ahead and did a muffler delete by undoing those clamps. It was a 10 min job if I had the correct tools, but I didn't, so I had to cut the clamps off lol. It was a difficult and tiring process to hacksaw a clamp underneath without a jack and stands haha. It sounds amazing and is what I was looking for, it really isn't too loud which is what I was hesitant about. I'm getting new piping put in where the mufflers were and either oem tips or new tips put on. Will post pics later! Thanks for the help guys.

just unclamp the rear mufflers. and youre done. dont spend any money if you are getting a real exhaust in 6 mos. the hangers that are attached to the resonator piping are plenty strong to support the freehanging pipe. zero drone on the highway btw. i drove around like this for a couple mos before i got my fast intentions setup

I'm gonna take them off this weekend... Then make some small pipes with nice tips, so I can swap back and forth when I'm bored
