Rear Fog Light (JDM) 2nd Gen

i know i'm not going crazy... I remember seeing a JDM 2nd gen in a photo or two online somewhere with the the OEM rear fog light on the bottom of the bumper. Has anyone else here seen it, or knows where there are more pics?

Beat me to the pic. I always wondered about those ever since I noticed them on UK Autotrader.

That is one oddly unique 2011 G37S they have compared to N.America. No sport seats, non-sport front bumper, older (nicer) sport wheels and the Nav is aftermarket.
If I had to guess I would say the previous owner had the mod bug and maybe even that low rear light in the bumper was not factory installed.
I looked at a few other Korean 2nd gen G35/37 sedans and did not see any with this rear light which leads me to think it's not standard. Maybe it's in the options. I can't read Korean.

What makes you think it's a fog light anyway? It appears to be red like a brake light..

Dd you click the link in my second post? They all have the exact same one, and in Europe the G sedans come with it. Google translate / chrome browser Ftw.

And im Not sure that's what I'm trying to figure out gxxxvx I assume so since older skylines had the ones that lit up as did the 300zx and 350z

HERE you go.... Click on the 7th pic on the right, though this is a g37 it was the same for the g35

The license plate area is slimmer and wider cause they have different size plates

I now see it listed as 'Front and rear fog lamps' in the Euro models under standard features for the G.
I wonder how well it works? I assume it's to help be seen in the fog.
I still wouldn't want it on my bumper.

It's an actual fog light not just a reflector. The 370z has a fog light that is even lower in comparison. These are all factory options.

Also, in the Middle East we get the same thing. S suspension, S brakes, S paddle shifters, older model S wheels, but Journey/base front bumper and seats. Over here they even take it one step further and remove the S badge. I asked the dealer why and they said a Sport car must be 2-door (WTF?) so they leave the G coupe with an S badge lmao.

Here's the 370z version
