Changing journey package to sport

Hi all new to this forum and have a question. I recently purchased a 2008 Infiniti g35 journey package rwd and am extremely aggravated about one thing. I've tried finding the answer to my question for 3 days now. Maybe my research skills are elementary but can someone please tell me if you can put a vlsd on the journey sedan? If so how would I obtain this. Also is the sport package Infiniti g35 sedan faster than my journey? Sorry if I posted in a wrong manner but if someone could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated

What is VLSD? No the sport is not faster than the journey i don't think. It has paddle shifters, bigger brakes and a better looking wheels and body though.

^ whs, the sports and journey have same engine so power is same, vlsd is limited slip diff in the sports model which should be a straight pumpkin/diff swap or entire rear axle with diff swap into the journey but not worth the money imo unless you drive spirited or track a lot.

i think i read that you can buy the parts from infiniti to retro fit the paddle shifter on non-sport.

i have 6MT, so paddle shifter means nothing to me

from the spec sheet, the Sport also have unique sttering and rear shock tuning (whatever those means)

if you want bigger brakes, you can consider G37S bbk, but they are heavier from what i heard.

Anything is possible. The Sport differential should fit. Try a wrecking yard or salvage company in you area.
You can always get one online but it's expensive.
LINK
Diff case $585, L/R Axle shafts $260, Pinion gear & shaft $74, Side gear $62.

Off the line the Sport should be quicker due to the VLSD but once these cars are moving they are all (Base Journey, S, X) the same. The driver's skill set is probably the biggest variable.

For me the bigest appeal of the sport package is the slightly stiffer shocks/springs and bigger sway bars, but I wouldn't reccomend you upgrade to the OEM parts since you can do much better with aftermarket parts. If I had a base/journey I'd get coilovers WAY before spending any money on the differential.

You probably don't want to hear this, but unless you got a really bad deal on your car, you could probably sell it and buy a Sport model for less difference than you'll ultimately pay to "convert" a non-sport to a sport; even if it's just the VLSD feature that you are seeking. Plus, if you did, you'd be getting all the other features of the sport as well.

Kind of pointless. I would've got the Sport first if this was a priority.

Only things different are...
-seats
-paddles
-VLSD
-side skirts
-bumper
-brakes
-sways
-shocks
-and many random things
