Clucth pedal problem??
So i sat this earlier this morning in my car ran some errands. It's been about 85-90 degreas here for the past week and I been running my ac more then usual.
After I ran those errands this morning went inside the house for about 30 min got in my car and clucth pedal went straight to the floor after me pressing it just a tiny bit. Turned the car on ( thought that was going to do something) turned over but coudent put it in gear. Immediately turned the car off poped the hood Andy clucth fluid was completely drained.
Now I'm thinking a leak somewhere probably going to fill the fluid and take it to a shop later today.
And I have a big puddle of water yes it's only water underneath my car.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Found the leak. Cant exactly located it but I see it dripping underneath my car. Now my question is my buddy's shop is about 15 mins away. It takes about 5 mins till it finnsly drains. Could I drove my car there and stop and refil on the way without hurting the system. Clutch transmission etc....
its probably a bad slave cylinder which was common on the 07 and early 08s and was covered under voluntary recall by the dealership. if you already had that done call and see if they will look into it again for you else have to get it fixed yourself

Koolyear ur right it was the slave cylinder now I replaced the clucth last year should I call them again just to see if they would replace it or...

^ ya try the dealership first maybe they will replace it under the extended voluntary recall seeing the new slave died so quickly but most probably they wont but worth a try.
Labor will be on the high side cause they need to pull the tranny off the engine to replace the slave cyl as its within the housing, imo anything between 200-300 is acceptable but shopping around does not hurt

thats not good... PM rick on this forum and see whats the best price he can get you my guess is around maybe $40-60... if you have some extra $$ i recommend getting the Z1 CSC which is much more stronger than the OEM slave for ~100 HERE... FYI these Z1 CSC require some modification to install but come with instructions which should be easy to follow for any shop.
Also one of the most common issues for the slave cyl to go bad is dirty fluid and/or riding the clutch... keep an eye on the clutch fluid
Disclaimer: iv never used the Z1 CSC myself or driven a G with it, this info is just from my research online and it seems most ppl are happy with the switch but do some research of your own before spending the $$ since i cant be held liable

HMMM . . . Re-reading the previous posts made me want to clarify whether the service rep said that the VIN number wasn't included in the recall, or if it had already been performed on that VIN so it wasn't covered again.
