Dirty speedometer.

Hey guys... a general question, is there a way to clean the other side of the speedometer?! it looks like its dirty on the other side

Its quite unlikely for it to be dirty from the back side, are you seeing 'spots' that you cant clean? i had similar issue on my acura and as it turns out that the cleaner i used once causes stains on the plastic.

take a pic if you can, if it really is dirty from the inside then youd have to remove the entire cluster to get the plastic cover off.

damn.. u may be right. i used mothers spray on it and it seems like it smeared and stayed there. windex didnt take it off..

The best cleaner I've found is just 70% Ethanol with water if you work in a lab...I use that to clean my LCD screens with coatings on them and it's perfectly fine.

i use a computer monitor spray to clean the lcd and the gauge plastic given how messed it up once.

i had the same thing happen to my temp gauge and clock. the only thing that took it off was some polish and wax.

^ he already cleaned it with some goo gone, it was on the front
