Squeaking After Lowering for 6 Months

hi guys, so i installed the Eibach Pro Kit on my 08 for about 9 months. i also added the both the front and back camber kit. Two weeks ago it started to squeak; the kind of squeak that you get when one put a heavy load on a spring. How can i fix this issue?

Also, just curious, when u guys installed your pro-kit, does it look like there were "too much" spring? in other words, did you have to really force the springs into the struts, b/c the spring was a bit long/tall? reason i asked is, when i used to have my 99 SI, the lowering spring was actually shorter than the struts, therefore, it was easy to just put them in, unless the pro-kit for our G.

thanks!

Yeah, unfortunately with our struts and eibach springs, you still have to compress the spring to install. When I did my maxima, you could thread the top bolt of the strut piston by just pressing down.

Re: squeek. Is it just coming from the front? One side?
Did you transfer over the plastic spring covers that are at the very bottom of the spring from the OEM spring?

Are you sure it's not just the sway bar bushings squeaking? They can make an awful racket when they get dried out, especially if it's hot where you are.

I would get my spray can of lithium grease lubricant and start hitting some of the suspension joints one by one (in the suspect area first) until the noise is hopefully gone.

check the end links, usually if you lower your car and have an aftermarket swaybar you're putting a lot more stress on your endlinks and if they joint heads begin to wear more they will squeek, if you track they can even snap off

not sure, but sounds seem to come from both front and back(but louder from the front). just weird that it seems like the all started to squeak around the same time.

I have a can of this...

This stuff is excellent for other things like garage door wheels and hinges. They make a garage specific product too but it's basically the same stuff.
There are a few others including WD-40 brand Lithium grease (don't use their more common penetrating oil product). I think WD-40 is tied to 3 in One now. They may even own 3 in One.

well, sprayed the lube on, but sound still exist. But i was able to pin point where the sound is coming from, just not sure where to go from here. Sound is from front left camber arm. Guess i'll need to drop by the mechanic.

It turns out that the bolts holding the front camber arms in place were lose, so I hand tighten them more than the recommended torque. I can take a pic after work, if u r not sure which bolts I am referring to

A picture would be really helpful. I just started to get a squeak on the front right. Thought it was struts and was going to replace them all. Recently heard about compression rod issue. But think that is related to the 2003 model. Any help would be appreciated. Amateur mechanic here, but I have a jack and can spray suspension components to see if that is an issue.

Sorry for the late respond. see attached pic. it is not my photo, but it should do. The bolts i am referring to is where the red arrow is pointing too. To fix the squeak that i had, all i did was tighten them a little more than the recommended torque. when i first installed the camber, i was sure i have tighten them, but for whatever reason, 6 months or so later they came a bit lose. Good luck!!
