Transmission Flush Interval

How often should transmission fluid flush be done on a 2008 G35x?

A flush is not recommended

Anymore, and depending on your car's previous tranny service history, it seems the dealers are just recommending a "refresh" rather than a flush, which is just a drain and refill of the oil pan (around 4-5 quarts).

a flush was already done at around 60k miles. currently around 90k miles and dealer advises the fluid is burnt. should i do flush or just drain/refill? dealer says flush, so im curious on others' thoughts. thanks!

Fluid burnt after 30k miles? Have you been racing or tow a lot? Usually fluid should last around 50k-60k miles no problem under normal conditions. The 30k mile service interval was meant for people who push the car hard and race a lot. Nissan calls it "severe" service interval.

I still recommend a drain and refill. Flushing may damage some transmission components according to the Nissan bulletin.

I am currently having an issue with my dealer, I paid for a flush and they did nothing. They could of done the same at 40k my fluid was very very dark at 80k.

Drain and fill is easy to DIY, that way you know something is happening.

don't flush it, drain and fill drive for 5-10 minutes, repeat x3 and it will get most of the fluid out of the torque converter.
