I got that, but does having an ITB listed automatically mean that out of warranty cars will get the trim replaced? That's what i'm trying to figure out??

No, it doesn't, but you definitely have more leverage for "good will" gestures on their part if you ask nicely when you have it in for other (paid) work at the same time. Dealerships vary of course, and some may be much more willing than others, but to the best of my knowledge, they do not have to do the work if you're out of warranty coverage. It isn't a recall.

I think what you have to do is work with your dealer, give him a copy of ITB and take the car for inspection and write it up, once documented, I think vqsmile is correct in general. GOOD LUCK TO you'll. I did my part by providing the ITB info.

the replacement steering wheel trim that you are selling is it 2007 oem or did they come out with a new and improved late model coated one that won't chip?

Those for the 2007 OEM are the new material, it's supposed to be less chippable, but nothing is scratch/chip proof

From what I can tell, the newer pieces are made up of a solid piece of darker material, whereas the original ones were a lighter base material that was painted over with a special textured paint. It was the failure of that outer paint which inevitably led to the scratches exposing the lighter substrate material beneath. Bottom line is that the new ones essentially have nothing to scratch off, other than just possibly marring their surface texture.

What is the part number for the steering wheel trim? I have an 08 G35s sedan with Premium/Navigation/Sport/Tech. Do you still have these Phil?
