Sport Shifter failure?

Sport Shifter failure?
Okay, so I read on here about this issue before but nothing pointed to what I think could be my issue. I wanted to get opinions before making my next move.
Today installed Niche Gt-5 20"'s did not put the pressure sensor in them. Left the sensors in the oem tires. Within an hour when going to sport shifting it only says D. After a restart of the car. It works for a moment then... back to D. Anyone thing this is a result of the car going into some safety mode? Maybe its required to put the (Tpms?) in the tire to prevent this?
Thoughts?
Btw, here are the new rims

Wheels look nice btw.

^^ Agreed, it shouldn't have a thing to do with the TPMS.
Seems like a long shot, but how close are your tire diameters between the fronts and rears? If they were way off, I think it would trigger traction control system and set off a slew of lights before affecting the tranny shifting, but I'm trying to think what would relate to the timing of the wheel replacement.

Does no one use the search function here?
It's a somewhat common issue that's been covered many times before. The problem is with the shifter switch under the shift ****. Transmission is fine and it has absolutely nothing to do with the tires, wheels or TPMS. It was simply a coincidence that it occurred at the same time. Anyhow, the fix is to replace the shifter switch. It's expensive though, so if you're under warranty get it done now.

Once I get it in and they give me the diagnosis I will post what it is on here.
As for coincidence, I cant imagine it was just that.
Will update.
