In all fairness the new adapter is much better and smaller than the older one. Granted I'm screwed and need to get the adapter. I still like the new pin. You can partly blame infiniti for not offering the usb option like they offered starting in 2010 or was it 2009. My bros fx has the usb.

bumping for anyone who received one day-1. I read somewhere the converter doesn't support all features, including iPod(!). The original article explicitly called out car manufacturers writing up warnings of it may not work out.

^ yup i feel the same way, my brother just got it couple days back after standing in line for 4 hours and is not very happy with the lack of new features and the same feel of the os as 4s...
Main upgrades in hardware seem to be the slightly bigger screen but its only in height not width, the back does not have glass in the middle portion instead has nice aluminum backing but the processor is much faster i did a few info and benchmark test on it and the old 4s it showed about 1.1ghz for 5 and about 0.8ghz on my 4s and out performed my 4s by a lot in most tests other than that it seems biggest upgrade is the iOS6 that will be coming for the 4s soon and help it...
It is faster and lighter but not enough 'new' for me to upgrade i think ill be going with the S3 when im upgrade eligible in a few days, iphone5 feels more refined but S3 seems to be better buy for me because i like the bigger screen and it comes with a little faster processor, more ram and seems much more customizable all around iv used it a lot from my friend for 'testing'
disclaimer: i dont want to be involved in any iOS vs android or apple vs samsung war i just dont have that much time to care about the issue so please dont take my above comments as such, they are just my personal experiences that might help some decide either way, like my brother does not like the oversize screen on S3 but i do, so to each their own!

Taller screen, a little lighter, and barely thinner... I'm not impressed. Looks like another way to milk more money from the fanboys while they are waiting to release a truly new phone, almost like how most car manufacturers fix up the trim on their cars just before they introduce a completely new one, only Apple is going to milk as much money out of all these fanboys as they possibly can.

I was reading an interesting article related to that talking about how steve jobs would not let an apple product be released unless he was 100% satisfied with it, it was in reference to how apple now let the apple maps out without perfecting them earning them a lot of criticism.
It basically said that apple thought it was more important to get rid of google maps now than putting out perfect version of apple maps(not sure why) which they will continue to improve over time... bottom line is steve jobs was really good at what he did and he had actual personal passion for it more than anyone else
