weird "creaking" noise
weird "creaking" noise
Here's my problem:
Weird creaking noise coming from the passenger side, can't pinpoint if it's the front or rear.
Noise happens when going up/down slopes, driveways.
My guess was either 1) bad bushings 2) spring issue (hitting something, loose)
Took it into my friend's shop, no visual sign of loose parts/tears/leaks, bushing seemed to be good. Had my friend tighten everything, took it for a spin, the noise went away. However, as soon as someone got into the passenger seat, the noise returned.
ANY THOUGHTS????
Taking into dealer day after tomorrow. Just need some inputs before going there so I can have some idea of what the issue may be, and be ready to share some thoughts from the forum if it's a common issue.
Thank you!

Hey thanks for the reply. Friend that looked at it say it seems greased pretty good, and since our stock sway bushings are rubber, it shouldn't require much lubing like the aftermarkets. I'm still gonna ask the dealer to add some lubricants to it to make sure.
Thanks for your help. It's when I go up/down hill or any type of slopes. Slowly letting go of the brakes after a complete stop doesn't make this noise (unless of course its on a slope), and does not occur on straight road (even bumpy roads as long as its a straight line).

Agreed, but when they dry out, they can squeak something fierce. It's so easy to just just do a quick test and squirt some spray lube in from the ends. If that's the problem, it should go away almost immediately. Since they are not normally lubed, the dealer may or may not be willing to lube them. Instead, they would want to outright replace them.

I've had the same problem for about a year now. It randomly makes a horrid creaking noise that makes it sound like my G is going to fall apart any second. It goes away after a couples hours though. I've also taken it into the dealership 3 different times so they could have a look but they say nothing is wrong. Hope you have better luck than I've had!
i have the same noise. i think its the oem sway bushings bc it happened after i took out the hotchkis bars. it always goes away when its raining or humid.
i now also have a creak/spring noise on the driver seat!!

I have the same issue. For me, this only happens when there is a passenger in the front seat. When I make a right turn when going at parking lot speeds it will make this creaking/popping noise. If I am by myself it will not do this. Also, if I am turning gently it will not do it. It is only when going slow and I make a full turn that the weight of the car shifting causes this noise. I initially thought it may be the sway bar bushings. I have since replaced them twice with oem bushings and the issue remains. I then thought it may be the endlinks which I replaced with oem replacements and the issue is still there. I am wondering if it could possibly be tie rods. Op, if you find the problem or solution, please let us know!

That definitely sounds like the tie rods getting in a bind to me.
