road noise/vibration ONLY at 58-60...

Any ideas? Its not the tire, cause I have the same issue despite replacing all tires to a different brand.

Alignment checks out.

All brake pads have a lot of life left... BUT I hear constant squealing while breaking from the front left. Dealer claims its scorched rotor.. but I had the TSB done already and replaced rotors while back, and installed the shield behind rotor. Another dealer said brake pads needed replacing... total BS cause I can visually inspect the pad thickness ...its fine.

CV joints r fine, I made turns in a parking lot and did not hear any sounds.

What else could be causing this???

Its not... both sets of tires balanced at two different places multiple times.. same issue persists.

Were they roadforce balanced with a Hunter machine? Still could be a bent rim.

I have had my friends tell me that the car vibrates on the highway at high speeds. But, when I drive it I have yet to notice it. They may notice it because they drive Audi S4 & X5 //M.

^ This.

It has to be properly roadforce balanced with a Hunter machine. And make sure they do it properly. Many times i went to have something roadforce balanced and they fail to activate the roller.

like the other poster responded just because it was balanced properly multiple times does not mean they are good i have had this issue too on my previous cars with many places, spending a little extra for the road force was worth it 3 out of 4 times to fix the problem. One time when they tried to balance it and could not they took the tire off and tested the rim to find that the rim was slightly bent/damaged that was not visible to the naked eye until we knew where to look for it.

it might not solve the problem for you its worth a try imo, other than that its your call

I remember seeing during my last balance and rotation road force somewhere on the paperwork... ill see if I can dig it out.

As for the bent rim... anyway of checking it my self? Maybe a tape measure or something of the diameter across the rims perhaps?

Road Force balancing is a must! I want to say that's probably where the vibration is coming from. A tire can be balanced but that does not necessarily mean that you won't ever experience vibrations due to feedback from the road and whatnot. Tires, just like wheels, are not perfectly round, so the Road Force machine will match the high and low points of the tire and wheel to the best of its ability to make sure that you won't get any vibrations.

RedBaron, i'm curious, would you happen to have a pic or know how many wheel weights you have on the wheels? Total the stick-on's along with the clip-ons (usually found on the back of the rim.)

There's a theoretical limit to how much weight is added, if this was truly roadforce balanced.

I too think that the tire balance issue is most likely to blame, but just as a quick check, I'd want to eliminate the drive train as a possibility. Specifically, does it still make this sound when the drive train is 'unloaded' ?

Hmm I can take a pic and upload to see how many weights r on it...

VQ when u say unloaded, ur referring to coasting the car down the road without any gas being applied right? If so, when I let my foot off the gas from lets say 80mph, as it slows down to 60-58mph the vibration comes back
