Anyone know what this part came from??

My wife comes home from driving the car this weekend (2007 G35 Sedan) and says we now have a bonus part to our car. Apparently when she got in the car, there was this part lying on the floor right in front of the drivers seat. I took the following pictures of the top and bottom of it and it is actually 2 pieces with one sliding into the other one. They are black plastic.

I'm guessing something from the seat or the steering wheel as they move when starting the car??

It is approximately 3 inches long when collapsed and about 4 inches fully extended. It is just over half inch wide.

It' hides the wire that comes from the mirror to your headliner. Wider side goes under the headliner, other locks into the mirror mount.





That's how it looks installed.



here is another picture of the mirror, you see how it lock in to the mount

Ok so I am thoroughly impressed! This forum is absolutely amazing!! Maybe we new to start a "guess that part" forum just to see how good people are 😃. Thanks again everyone. The car has been made whole again.
