2008 G35x knocking noise when turning steering wheel

I have a 2008 G35x with ~32,100 miles.
Today I noticed a loud clicking/ knocking sound when turning the steering wheel. When driving it earlier I noticed the steering wheel shook on the highway.

Here's a video of the noise:

What could it be?

Don't know if our cars have strut bearings or not... car was NOT moving right? if car was moving and did this i would look at wheel bearings, tie rods, and or ball joints.....

Thanks!
Yes, the car was stationary while making the noise. I did not notice the noise while driving unless it was less than 5 miles per hour. I have an appointment tomorrow. The extended warranty came in handy!

The car has been treated well and only has 32k miles, wonder how such a thing could happen.
Have had very few problems being the brake judder and the peeling trim.

It is not uncommon to have the steering racks replaced in these so that could very well be your problem.

Steering rack. Mind sounded like that but more faint, like somewhere down in front. Had it replaced under warranty.

Well, you were right!
It has a bad steering rack and wheel bearing. Also mentioned to them that the car pulls to the right when braking but haven't heard back on that yet. Possibly because of the bad wheel bearing?
Have a G25x as a loaner for the meantime Better than no loaner I suppose!
