2-port USB Car Adapters..
i'm going to be using a bluetooth receiver that needs to be plugged in (microUSB to USB) but i also need a second USB port to charge my phone in the car. i don't want to use the outlet in the cigarette tray, i only want to use the outlet in the armrest.
has anyone tried this? will 1 outlet provide enough power to charge my phone AND run my bluetooth receiver?
where can i buy an adapter that will provide me with 2 USB ports from 1 car outlet?
do i need to worry about blowing a fuse?

Put this in your armrest.
No need to worry about blowing a fuse. Total power draw per USB port per the spec is 5v @ 500mA or 2.5W per port. That's nothing.
I would think the car adapter size is a standard. I just ordered one after finding that part. The one i have now only has one port. I hope it fits a 06 sedan.

well it is a shortened version so it is not the typical length. Hope it works for your 2006
I connected to both cig lighter port and one in arm rest area. does not charge my ipod. ipod is fine. obviously i cant see if the contacts from the item reaches the contacts on the aux port, but I'm guessing it does not, since it does not work. Or maybe I just got a dud.

Those Griffin ones are nice. I personally have http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-USB-Car...item4abdf4cb33
We do many accessories. Griffin as mentioned is nice! but only shoot out 1A charging power.
Teh eBay link has the 1 amp for smart phones and 2.1 amps for tablets. I use the 2.1 amp the charge my S3 and you can literally see the battery percentage rise per minute. Not sure about the 1A chargers though, although they will work very good as well.

If you phone says its plugged into an AC charger it will charge much quicker.
Also some adaptors fail to give the proper current and my phone will loose % even when plugged in. Yes this is a 1amp charger. If that happens to you buy a different one.
