winter question?

First winter with the G. Anyone else find that with the windshield wipers hidden low in the cowl that there is allot of ice buildup on the wipers? I've always found in previous vehicles that the defrost usually keeps the wipers clean from ice. Any tips/suggestions on how to keep the wipers ice free?

Trying new wipers. But with the sitting so low, I'm not sure it will help. Constantly bashing ice off them.

If you park outside just ensure to raise the wiper blades if you know a snow / ice storm is brewing. That way, no problem with frosted blades the following morning.

I'm in Calgary too. And I do lift my blades when i park, I find the buildup during driving. And was thinking it was related to how low in the cowl the blades sit. I'm going to switch blades and see if that helps.

I've never had this problem in 6 years with a 2nd gen G and OEM wiper blades most of the time.
Maybe a silly question but are you setting the climate controls to a high temp on defrost? Leaving it on auto simply won't do.
