Recently my G35xs started having the key light on the dash lighting up. It seems to come on and off at random and some times stays on for awhile before shutting off. The weird thing is now the cruise control seems to be shutting off on it's own with no brake application and I do not have the adaptive cruise control on my car. Any ideas what could be going on or should I just buck up and head to the dealer?

 

The red key light means the remote battery is out, or about to be out on the Intellegent key remote, however that should not have any impact on your adaptive cruise control, possibly unrelated other issue....

 

Thanks for responding so quickly Phil. The key light that is on is not red but it is a brown/orange color. I did have the battery go on one fob and replaced it. The light seems to come on regardless of which fob I have with me. Should I reset the CPU or will that not help.
I could replace the battery on the other fob because I did buy 2 but I do not think that is the issue. I am more concerned about the cruise kicking off at random though. Any other thoughts.
