Hesitation after red light and shaking while cruising

I recently just noticed by 2007 G35x is having some hesitation after start from a red light.
I will press the gas from a red light and there is a sudden moment of no power then a shake then it is all normal after that.

It feels like the transmission shifts really hard or can't decide.

Then while cruising along the road, I will be at around 2000 RPM, then I will lightly go on the gas and the car shakes. I look at the tach and the needle floats up and down around 2000 RPM.

It feels like the car is shaking forwards and backwards almost.

Has anyone noticed this in their G35x? Mine did not do this when I had it since January.

Have you checked your tranny fluid level?

Has it done this over more than one tankful of gas?

I haven't checked my tranny fluid yet. Do you know how I would check it?

It happened after I pumped gas during a snow storm and I am still on the same tank of gas.

the dip stick is behind the engine. You'll need a 10mm to take the bolt off.

Sorry I am totally illiterate about this stuff. What is a 10mm to take off the bolt? Is it a specific screw driver?

A 10mm socket for the bolt. You'll need a ratchet for the socket.

regardless of the outcome, you really need to bring it to a shop asap.

It is entrely possible that you got a bad tank full of gas. . . or very low tranny fluid level.
Here's what I would do: First, check the tranny fluid level. Based on your comments here and in your later posts, I suggest you have it done by a competent maintenance service provider. If it turns out to be low, then fill it appropriately and/or consider a tranny fluid refresh servicing. However, if it's ok, go for a long drive and use up that tankful of gas. Then fill it up with a tank from a major, large volume gas station in your area (Chevron, Shell, 76, etc.) and see if the situation improves.

I agree with vqsmile. Check fluids then drive till empty. If that does not work def take it in. Good luck
